Hello.

After a few hours of browsing some of the threads here I have noticed that many people have, over time, managed to use Voxels well with Ogre3D. What I am wondering is if it is possible to make a Voxel with a(or a few) Gorilla texture atlases. If so then what would be the basic overview of what I should be using to make this happen?

Knowing this information while reading the tutorials would be a huge help to get my current Gorilla atlases to be 3D voxel meshes.

And if it is required or recommended, How would I go about converting the new voxels to Ogre meshes?

I'm not sure I fully understand your question but I'll try to help.

There is no real link between the use of texture atlases in PolyVox and the use of texture atlases in gorilla. PolyVox uses them as a way of assigning different textures to different block types, while Gorilla uses them as a way to store multiple user interface elements in a single texture (that's what I would guess - I've never used Gorilla). The fact that they both use texture atlases does not automatically mean that they can be integrated.

It is in principle possible to convert sprites into voxels meshes, but I'm not quite sure why you would want to do this within a GUI. Can you provide an image of what your sprites look like, and an example of a game which does something similar to what you are trying to achieve?
