Yeah, when I first started out I thought about doing it that way. I just went with Texture Atlas because It was the easiest to get working for me using just the polyvox examples. Oh and that I'm only doing the cubic thing... Texture Atlas is solved for me though, because wrt the art pipeline I just say let's just go with a larger texture than the max. sized texture we're going to supprot, then just use the freely available tools, which solves the problems with Texture Atlases.
