Two quick patches here:

The first adjusts the build system so that if boost is needed (older MSVC versions), it will search for it and add it to the include path.

The second replaces the hardcoded typedefs for integers: as long as you need Boost for versions of msvc without shared_ptr, you may as well use it for cstdint. This should ensure that the types are actually the size they say they are, even on a 64-bit build.
