I was able to build latest PolyVox off SVN and also run all samples without any problem. I'm using VC10 and Window VISTA (I prefer to run Linux but since I'm doing the cross platform thing I also work in Windows).

Oh forgot to mention for my Vista build I'm running QTFramework binaries off their website.
