Totally off topic here, and not really voxels, but something I thought you might find interesting since it looks a lot like a cubic extracted surface ;-)

Probably done totally in rendering software of course. Very impressive though...

I just found three really cool minecraft videos. I'm not sure what's being used to render them but they look much better than normal Minecraft, and there's some very nice environments:
